A weekly programme lasting 16 sessions aimed at patients with acquired brain injury whose activities of daily living are seriously limited due to their memory problems.
The objectives of the group, formed of 4 or 5 patients, are:
To improve understanding and use of different internal strategies
To promote the use of external compensatory aids
To increase awareness of the impairment
To provide emotional support to facilitate adaptation to the impairment.
Some sessions are aimed at guiding and educating families on the subject of memory disorders and the use of strategies, providing them with emotional support and treatment guidelines.
